Meditation seems to be the answer to all questions! For practically any problem meditation seems to be the ultimate solution. From issues like stress, anxiety, to fear, depression, from health issues to relationship issues, among the solutions ‘meditation’ is always one of the solution. Still, many complain that they are not able to meditate and some are just imaging that they are meditating! Why is not everyone able to meditate! What is the right meditation, how to attain that state of meditation easily!
Meditation is a state in which there are no thoughts! You are in no-mind state! Rare is the person who can reach this lofty stage and sustain it.
The thinking Mind

An average person gets as much as 60,000 thoughts in a day. Most are at the sub-conscious level. These thoughts have tremendous pull and we can easily get carried away by them. From the childhood, we are trained to think. If a thought really bothers us and we are little aware of this, then, at the most we change one thought with another thought. Most affirmations, positive thinking, changing sub-conscious thoughts, work in these lines. Definitely useful, but it is still a patch work solution!

It is OUR PRANA!!
It is our energy. At the grosser level, oxygen and at subtler level ‘Prana’. Prana is that vital force in us which keeps us ticking. It permeates reality on all levels including inanimate objects.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prana)
We get a quota of prana in the beginning of our life. Somewhere in the journey we become good at dissipating it, rather than increasing it, utilizing it. Children are full of energy all the time, as their prana dissipation is the minimum. Their mind is not developed yet.
As we start getting involved in worldly activities, like school, exams, travel, college, work place, relationships etc., we keep on building our muscles of thinking! And over a period of time these thoughts become quite strong. In many cases, very very strong!
The actual energy required for our daily chores and normal physical work is otherwise quite less! The major portion of our prana is eaten away by overthinking mind. So, at the end of the day we feel drained! Even when we have done such less physical work.
Pre-requisite for Meditation
Meditation is making the mind more and more calm. Ultimately taking it to the level of no-mind. How can a agitated body-mind mechanism meditate? Will such a body-mind ever have the required energy to meditate? Even to start meditation we require basic energy, prana. Without prana, meditation will be dull and docile. Infact, it won’t even be a meditation in the first place. If the prana levels are low, meditation is not for you!
Here we are working against a push of 60,000 thoughts. Imagine the energy you will require! So, first thing first, increase prana and slowly and steadily dissolve these thoughts! And the easiest and the best way to increase prana is to perform kriya.

Kriya Yoga is the process, in which, by rhythmic breathing, coupled with internal mudras, we fill up our tank of prana. This automatically takes us to a stage where we are naturally pulled into meditation. Such meditation is deep! It brings about cellular level changes! It is actually path to the ultimate.
In the process, it also brings about changes at the material level as a by-product! Because the process brings in clarity and energy. Enough to start on with your journey to ‘Actualizing Your Potential’ in all aspects of life. Be it material or spiritual!
